Chase and I met through Tinder in December 2017. It was just an instant connection with lots of laughs, adventures and love. We took a trip to Seattle July 2019 that changed everything. We had ticket to a St. Louis Cardinals (our favorite team) and Seattle Mariner baseball game and during the 5 inning on the big screen Chase asked me to his forever.
I've always dreamed of a Christmas Hallmark movie wedding and we were planning it! When COVID hit we figured we would be in the clear since it wasn't until December so we were very hopeful. As it got closer family and friends were unsure of it all. Two weeks before everyone was set to travel to us, our venue told us that it would be best to postpone until next year. We were devastated, but the safety of our families and friends was the most important thing to us.
We tossed around the idea of eloping but I just wasn't sure. Getting married without my mom there and no family and friends, I was very unsure of it. We knew we wanted to get married and begin the next chapter so I decided to reach out to Montana Dinner Yurt in Big Sky and I asked if it would be possible to do an elopement ceremony at the yurt and they said yes. So with our moms' approval and a few days' notice we asked our closest friends who were in Montana if they would be our witnesses and take part in our elopement celebration.
On December 5, 2020 Chase and I said "I do" on our favorite mountain in our favorite town. It was the most magical Christmas wedding I could have ever imagined at the Big Sky Resort, Big Sky, MT. We thankfully had amazing vendors who worked hard to help make this dream come true on short notice. Montana Dinner Yurt that provided the amazing adventure and food, Bijou Weddings that made my bouquet and Sweet Buns Catering that made us a cake and snacks while we got ready. Hair and makeup was done my Lexi Shaperd and our amazing photographer Jessie Moore.
It was heartbreaking not having it the way we envisioned it with all our families and friends, and seeing everything we planned come to life. We have decided that we will be throwing our wedding with all our families and friends November 2021 to celebrate with everyone.
It was one of the most hardest decisions to elope but it was definitely the best decision we could have made
