My relationship with Zaq started as a friendship, the way I always wished I would come to find my husband. We met while serving a mission in Colorado where we got to know each other and developed a friendship that would become a strong foundation for our relationship. One day in college after my mission, I was walking on campus when I passed by him. We started talking again and it didn't take long for our friendship to blossom into something more. The following two years of dating were full of adventure and growth as a couple. We travelled the country together exploring and making memories along the way. We bonded over hiking, kayaking, white water rafting, and, of course, movies and Netflix binging! We also connected over mutual interests such as music and cooking, even though Zaq can outcook me anyday, which is one of the many things I love about him!

Zaq proposed at the perfect time, in the perfect way, with the perfect ring! I told him I wanted to be surprised, and despite my best efforts to stay vigilant, he ended up pulling it off. Planning a wedding during a pandemic certainly forced some things to be different than I had always dreamed, but it helped to put things in perspective for me. All that mattered is that I got to marry the man I love. I will say one perk of getting married in these circumstances is that it didn't require a lot of time or planning since it was all very small and intimate. It allowed me to spend more time with Zaq, realizing there is nobody else I would want to plan a pandemic wedding with. On March 13th, we were married in North Carolina surrounded by our closest friends and family, it was perfect.

I worked for Linda for two years in high school and loved being surrounded by beautiful dresses and getting to work with brides. Despite this, I didn't know what I wanted for my own dress. Linda was so helpful during the process. She talked me through everything, and in the end, helped one of the most indecisive people on the planet pick a dress. We ended up remaking the whole top of my dress, which honestly was a little scary not knowing how exactly it would end up! However, Linda helped me see the vision of what my dress would be, and it turned out better than I could have imagined. She was also very helpful in finding suits! I'm so grateful for her help and expertise, and for helping me have my dream dress for my wedding.
